Core Bank HQ – Omaha, NE
project detail
The building solution for Core Bank is a clean and efficient design intended to consolidate, upgrade, and create a unified corporate headquarters. A simple concept executed well describes this new 4-story headquarters with a first-level bank branch.
Structural highlights:
- An architecturally exposed cast-in-place concrete central core housing stairs and elevators anchors a 2-story atrium. A stringerless feature stair, comprised of folded plate steel cantilevers from the concrete core, connects the ground floor lobby to the second level.
- Unitized curtainwall selected for the north and south façades expedited construction.
- The east and west façades consist of sculpted architectural precast concrete panels with balconies on the second and third floors.
- Dark steel frames contrast with the glass and light-colored precast facades of the upper levels and extend over the glass walls of the lower level, creating the impression it hovers above the ground.
